Jimmy founded Strickland & Jones, P.C. based on two commitments: putting clients' interests first and providing exceptional personal services. He has over 40 years experience in accounting, tax and financial services. He offers a committed, hard working, common sense approach to achieve clients' financial objectives.

Jimmy is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Tidewater Chapter of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jimmy graduated from Old Dominion University with a BS Degree in Business Administration - Accounting. Additionally, he earned the professional designation of Professional Financial Planner with ODU. A Certified Public Accountant since 1972, Jimmy has lectured for various state societies of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants on accounting and tax matters since 1976. He has served on the Peer Review Committee, CPE Committee, Education Committee and Practice Support Committee of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and has performed peer reviews. Jimmy has been selected by his peers and recognized multiple times as a "Super CPA" by Virginia Business magazine.

Jimmy has a Life and Health Insurance license in Virginia.

Jimmy has served as president or chief volunteer officer of the Tidewater Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council, and YMCA of South Hampton Roads, as well as serving in leadership jobs with various community organizations.
